From January to May, 2026, I advised an 80+ year old family business regarding their succession planning, with a specific focus on business readiness for transition to employee ownership. I conducted a methodical feasibility study that measured six core components of business readiness for employee ownership: mission & purpose, culture, financial health, governance structure, workforce, and payroll and benefits. Following the completion of this study, I presented the findings and a recommended path forward to the business owners.
